About Me

My name is Karen Rippey and I am a Midwestern girl from Iowa who fell in love with the West Coast. I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in photojournalism and from there have been freelancing in a number of cities. I tried out Chicago and Arlington, VA before landing here in Portland. The mix of picturesque hikes and city landscapes has convinced me that I made the right choice!

A background in photojournalism allows me to capture the mood of your event without any intrusion. I enjoy letting your event flow and shooting candids and posed shots when the opportunity arises. That way your guests and you don't have to feel any pressure to perform for the camera and can forget about me!
